If you are looking for Levantine Arabic cuisine while in Dushanbe, seek nowhere else than Al Sham. A cosy and quiet place with equally mesmerizing food. Not to mention the utterly polite and friendly staff at your service. The preparations are sure to tease your tastebuds, be it Lebanese or any Middle Eastern dish. Surely a recommended place. Was my first time but of course not my last. 👍

Let’s start off with giving this restaurant a well deserved hand clap 👏 An easy five stars with outstanding service and super attentive staff, lovely atmosphere (recommend booking the private rooms) and delicious North African food. It’s consistent history of good reviews well justified and looking forward to my next experience here. Ps I had the veggie mezze and cold draft beer- perfect for a hot and dusty Dushanbe Sunday lunch.

Loved the restaurant. In my third visit, I feel home, the workers know me already and always welcoming. The food is delicious. Tried different plates. Salads are amazing especially Hummus and Alsham Salad. Chicken shawarma was good. The kebab izmiri was delicious.

I was in Dushanbe for two days only and didn't know where to go for dinner - a friend found this gem of a restaurant on Google Maps which is why I gave it a try. I don't usually go to "upscale restaurants" and felt a little awkward dining out by myself but I truly appreciated the extraordinarily friendly and attentive service staff - they make you feel like a princess. I wish I could return to try more dishes off the menu! Food was high quality for sure. The only thing I did not enjoy as much was that they kept playing the same song the whole evening ;) The staff speaks English. Thank you for a lovely evening in Dushanbe!

Al Sham is our old time favorite in Dushanbe: we used to go there often back 15 years ago. It was nice to discover that the place has remained and improved i quality of food and service was very nice. We only took the selection of mezes these time but all were delicious. Thank you. Hope to be able to return back soon.

Great restaurant if you want to enjoy some grilled meat! Everything we got was very well seasoned and deliciously tender. The chef of the restaurant is Syrian and you can definitely tell he brought the best from Syrian cuisine here to Tajikistan. The staff was also very friendly and respectful to us, we really felt like guests. If you are graving some meat this is definitely one of the best spots in the city to get it! P.s. they also serve delicious Tajikistan red wine

very beautiful restaurant, I like it this my 6 8th visit. 1st visit in 2013 and 2nd 2014 again back to Dushanbe, and now back again to Dushanbe, and weekly visiting, this one from the best restaurant in Tajikistan, where really you can taste middterian food, Syrian Arabic food. the young waiters are so polite, some of them speaks English, the cheef speak Arabic Russian and Tajik language. the owner speaks 5 languages. I recommend all visitors to Dushanbe to stop by and eat nice food.

Probably one of the best restaurants in all of Dushanbe! Excellent Middle Eastern cuisine with a wide selection of vegetarian options and a Syrian chef who has an eye for detail and provides great flavour. Highly recommended!
